  • James Madden
    Campus Minister

James was born and raised in Dallas, TX. He attended Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA from 2004-2008 where he graduated summa cum laude Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Spanish and History. During his time there he was very involved with RUF, played baseball, and was in a fraternity. From 2008-2010, he worked as an RUF Intern at Wake Forest University, afterward returning home to Dallas to begin attending Redeemer Seminary. During that time, he started and ran an outdoor services company before moving into the Elementary Children’s Ministry at Park Cities Presbyterian Church. He was the Elementary Coordinator for a couple of years until he recently graduated with a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Redeemer. Freshly ordained in March 2015, now James enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, writing, sports, coffee shops, and a little hunting and fishing.

  • Kendall Wilcke
    Intern

Kendall was born in Nashville, TN, and raised in Mississippi for the majority of her life. She graduated from The University of Mississippi in May of 2017. Growing up she was around the ministry of RUF for many years, but fell in love with it through her involvement the past four years at Ole Miss. It was during Freshman Bible study, weekly large groups, serving at kids club, and through her relationships gained that she was able to grasp the beauty of the gospel and Jesus’ love. She gained a new perspective of her brokenness and sin and daily need for her savior, Jesus Christ. She’s thrilled about serving at SMU as the intern, and looks forward to building new friendship over the next two years and living in a big city.

  • Robby Higginbottom
    Assistant Pastor of College Ministry
    Park Cities Presbyterian Church

Robby and Ann both grew up in Dallas and even went to the same high school, but they didn’t meet until 2006 when Robby was working with one of Ann’s best friends at Park Cities Presbyterian Church (PCPC). This friend (Kim Sayles, another RUF volunteer) gave a strong push to Robby and a bold prediction to Ann. Kim was right, and Ann and Robby got married in 2008 while Robby was working with high school students and Ann was pursuing a career as a writer and photographer. In 2011, Robby became the director of college ministry at PCPC and has enjoyed partnering with SMU RUF over the last few years. Ann and Robby are grateful for the opportunity to walk with college students and have a particular heart for helping them connect with the local church. Robby serves with the RUF music team on Tuesday nights and teaches a college class at PCPC on Sundays at 11:00 am. Robby loves watching and playing sports, strumming guitars, and enjoying all the good food around Dallas.
